WHY SILY?

When Ruth Yamin created SILY (Sis, I Love You) in 2021, the only thought in mind was, “dang, I need a break.” Not only is she a minority, first-generation graduate and professional—she’s a woman. Wearing so many hats and never knowing how to stop made her wish she could check into a resort and finally learn how to rest.

But the truth is.. rest has never been equally taught, inherited, or protected.

What we often see today as “wellness” has been repackaged into an industry. An industry that borrows the aesthetics of rest without acknowledging the history behind it. For many communities, rest was never indulgent. It was intentional. It was necessary. It was resistance.

Sis, I Love You was created to return rest to its rightful meaning.

At SILY, we believe rest becomes revolutionary the moment it is intentional and observable. It’s not just what you do in private. It’s how you allow yourself to exist, take up space, and be cared for in a world that often expects constant output.

This philosophy lives inside our world: the Revolutionary Rest Resort.

While we're physically inspired by the luxuries of exclusive, vintage European country clubs. Revolutionary Rest Resort is not a physical destination ( yet 😉), but a reimagined way of living where rest is not earned, but embodied.

Rooted in the understanding that restoration is multidimensional, our Revolutionary Rest framework guides you through all seven forms of rest-- because true rest isn’t just sleep, it’s completion. And when you are fully rested, you move through life differently: softer, stronger, and more whole.

SILY is more than a brand. It is a lifestyle, a soft place to land, and a quiet rebellion against burnout culture. Through intentional products, storytelling, and community, we create space for women --especially those who have always had to do the most— to finally exhale.

And as we build, we remain committed to something greater than ourselves.

We dedicate 2.5% of our profits to supporting youth in underserved communities—because access to rest, care, and opportunity should never be a privilege.

As SILY as it sounds, this is bigger than wellness.

This is a movement.

Welcome to your new way of living.

Welcome to rest.

Welcome to Sis, I Love You.
